Khao Yai Thiang Wind Farm Viewpoint

The wind turbines above the Lam Takhong reservoir, and the reason people drive up Khao Yai Thiang: the view, the photographs, and a road along the ridge you can cycle. The site was chosen because it is one of the windiest places in Thailand — there is wind almost year round, and two seasons of it in particular. From November to late March the northeast monsoon comes down across the ridge; from May to mid-October the southwest monsoon comes up the other side.
